How to take LymphActiv: dose, timing and duration
Take 2 capsules of LymphActiv once a day, together, with a large glass of water. One bottle of 60 capsules then lasts 30 days. Choose a moment you will not forget, such as breakfast or your evening meal, and keep to it. Below are the five steps, the best time of day, how long to continue, what to do if you miss a day, what to combine it with, how to manage summer heat and long journeys, and how to store your bottles.
How many LymphActiv capsules a day?
The recommended daily dose is 2 capsules, taken together in one go. All the amounts on the label, such as 20 mg of aescin or 80 mg of vitamin C, refer to these two capsules and should not be exceeded.
The formula is designed for this serving. Taking more adds nothing useful and increases the amount of each extract, including those that are discussed in relation to blood thinners. Taking one capsule is possible if you want to start gently, knowing you then get half the amounts listed. The full composition is on our LymphActiv ingredients page.

How to take LymphActiv in 5 steps
Two capsules together, a large glass of water, the same time every day, no more than the daily dose and a check on your medication first. That is all there is to it.
Take 2 capsules together
Both capsules at the same time, once a day: two capsules are the full daily serving.
Use a large glass of water
Swallow the capsules whole with a large glass of water, rather than a sip of tea or coffee.
Stick to the daily dose
No more than 2 capsules a day. If you forget a day, do not double up the next day.
Check your medication
On blood thinners or any regular treatment? Ask your GP or pharmacist before starting.
Keep going for a few weeks
One bottle lasts 30 days. Take stock after two or three months of regular use.
When is the best time to take LymphActiv?
The label does not set a time of day: the best moment is the one you will remember every day. Many people take the capsules with breakfast or with their evening meal.
LymphActiv contains no caffeine, so taking it in the evening will not keep you awake. Taking it with food can be more comfortable if you have a sensitive stomach, since bromelain and horse chestnut extract can occasionally cause mild digestive discomfort. Linking the capsules to something you already do every day, like putting the kettle on in the morning, is the simplest way to build the habit. If you work shifts, follow your own rhythm rather than the clock: what matters is one serving per 24 hours.
How long should you take LymphActiv?
Plan on at least two to three months of regular use before deciding whether to continue. A food supplement is part of a routine, not a quick fix, and there is no set end date on the label.
That is why many people choose the 3 bottle offer for 90 days, or the 6 bottle offer, which gives the lowest price per day; the details are on our price page. Some people prefer to take LymphActiv mainly during the warmer months, from late spring to early autumn, or around periods with long journeys. If you have been taking it for a long time and want to review your routine, a chat with your pharmacist is a good idea, especially if your medication has changed.
What if you miss a dose?
Simply carry on the next day with the usual 2 capsules. Never take 4 capsules to make up for a missed day.
Missing a day now and then makes no difference to a routine followed over weeks. If you often forget, keep the bottle next to something you use every day, set a reminder on your phone, or use a weekly pill organiser. Keep the capsules out of the reach of children, as the label requires.
Can you combine LymphActiv with other products?
With most foods and everyday habits, yes; with some medicines and supplements, ask a professional first. The main point of caution is anything that affects blood clotting.
- Blood thinners and antiplatelets (warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel, daily aspirin): bromelain, horse chestnut and maritime pine bark extracts are discussed in the literature for a possible additive effect. Ask your GP or pharmacist before starting.
- Other supplements containing horse chestnut, pine bark, grape seed, ginkgo, fish oil, garlic or high dose vitamin E: avoid stacking several products with similar ingredients without advice.
- Multivitamins: LymphActiv already provides 100 % of the NRV for vitamins C and E, which is useful to know when adding up your intake.
- Before an operation or dental surgery: tell the team that you take a supplement containing bromelain and horse chestnut.
All precautions are listed on our page on side effects and precautions.
Summer, travel and long days
Keep your routine going on holiday and on long journeys, and pair it with movement and water. The capsules travel easily in their bottle.
On a long flight or train journey, the NHS advises moving your legs regularly, walking when you can and drinking plenty of water. During hot spells, cool showers on the legs, shade and comfortable shoes help too. More everyday ideas are in our everyday tips for your legs. Take your bottle in your hand luggage so it stays with you, and keep it away from direct sun on the beach or in a hot car.
How should you store LymphActiv?
Store the bottle in a cool, dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Close it properly after each use.
A kitchen cupboard away from the oven or kettle works well; a bathroom cabinet, which gets humid, is less suitable. The best before date and batch number are printed on the packaging. Keep the bottle out of the reach of children.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take LymphActiv on an empty stomach?
The label does not require food, only a sufficient glass of water. If you notice any stomach discomfort, take the capsules with a meal instead.
Should I ask my GP or pharmacist before taking it?
Yes if you take any regular medication, especially blood thinners, or have a medical condition. A community pharmacist can check this quickly and for free, without an appointment. For urgent concerns outside surgery hours, NHS 111 can advise.
Can I take LymphActiv if I wear NHS compression stockings?
LymphActiv does not replace compression stockings or any treatment your GP or specialist has prescribed. If you wear them on prescription, keep doing so and ask your GP whether a supplement is suitable for you.
Can I open the capsules?
They are designed to be swallowed whole. If you find capsules hard to swallow, ask your pharmacist for advice.
Can I take LymphActiv during pregnancy?
No. The label advises against use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and for anyone under 18.
